Saint John the Russian saves the life of a kid

 In the Eve night of 2001 my 13 years old son went to his grandparents perfectly healthy and after 30 minutes , he returned back saying he has "temperature".
From that moment it started the sorrow of my family, until 16 April 2002.
We went to the infectious diseases hospital where the medics did their best to treat him.
The temperature was cyclically evolving until the medicine did not have any effect. One of my relatives gave me to read the book about the life of John the Russian and his akatist saying a big miracle will happen with my son.
I didn't do it and I can say it with all my heart, I will regret all my life.
On 16 april 2002 the analysys were very bad and I felt that medically nothing can be done anymore so I decided to take my kid home ; I didn't want him to die in the hospital .
When we arrived home, I put him in his bedroom and I felt I did everything was possible for him. I was telling him ( he could not hear me because he was in coma) that I did everything and if God decides to take him from me , I will submit to His will. In that moment I felt something that I cannot express in words , i felt the divine power , I was agree to sacrifice everything for God.
After few seconds when I realised what I said, I could not believe I had these thoughts and I told my other child I still have something else to do , the last hope..to read the akatist of Saint John the Russian.
I kneeled in my bedroom, I opened a candle and I read all his book , I started at 21:30 and i finished at 1:20. In all this time, I felt the time stopped and when I went in his bedroom I got stunned : my son did not have temperature anymore. I could not believe my eyes, I was running in the home, in the yard and i didn't know how to thank God.
After this, I made a promise to God: I told Him I will never smoke again.
This experience made me to find God and nobody can take me back anymore.
I thank God He gave me this problem because only like this I felt the Holy Spirit coming on me.

Cancer healed overnight

 In the village Digheliotica Egiou (Greece) is living Gheorghia Apostolopoulos, her husband , Kostas and their 4 kids. In their home, in a special place, they have the icon of Saint Nectarios from Aegina. The woman educate her kids in the spirit of love, teaching them to be humble and God loving.
 Unexpected,  cancer broke the women's heart who could not take care anymore of her kids and her husband. The doctor confirmed the disease and send her in Athens in a famous hospital. There, the same diagnosis: cancer.
 After many surgeries the doctors gave up telling her there is no chance of healing and it is better for her to go home and prepare for.....
 Sitting in bed, the woman told her kids to pray every second. In a November night , the woman opened her eyes and said: " I saw him, I saw Saint Nectarios who told me i am healed.  In the same moment, one of her kids said: " I  saw him also, the Saint from the icon. The second day, when the woman went to hospital , the doctors could not find any shade of cancer.

Cancer healed with the help of the holy oil from Saint Nectarios

 Last year, in May , Elena C. from Suceava (Romanian city) she got operated for colon as she had cancer.
 Everything seemed to be ok but because of the doctor ignorance , he did not prescribed citostatatic (chemo) and after less than 1 year the cancer appeared again in a different form : a vaginal wound, invading all the abdomen. We went to Iasi , at the hospital "Saint Spiridon" where they got to the conclusion that it has no sense to keep her in the hospital.
 After all my family insisted, she stayed in the hospital and made radiation to try to close the wound and after to have another surgery , with 99% risk of death. After the radiation that lasted 1 month and a half, the wound closed only 30%. My family was disappointed.
 One of her daughters heard about the miracles of Saint Nectarios and of his miraculous healings so she asked somebody who was going to Bucharest to bring her oil from his candle. She gave it to her mother and she drink some and after 3 weeks she went again to the hospital for the check up, where she had to remain there or to be sent to another hospital in the capital.
 For the praise of God and of Saint Nectarios and by the shock of the doctor, the wound was completely closed.

Miracle- cancer healed by Saint Nectarios

Good afternoon and may God help.
 In 2006 my mother in law had a liver and lungs cancer surgery .
 We went in Bucharest to the Saint Nectarios holy relics from where I take holy oil. The holy oil stay near his holy relics. After this I went to hospital and I anointed her with this oil. I gave her the akatist to read it and I also read myself , I also went in other city (Constanta) for Saint Pantelimon and here we are in 2010, after 4 years , we thank God , the Holy Virgin , Saint Nectarios , Saint Pantelimon and for their prayers my mother in law is still living without any sign of cancer.

Cured from cancer - testimony

Two years after my mother's death, my family had another affliction : my father was diagnosed with cancer on his right kidney. The doctor told us frankly without care. I just waited to go home to can cry. I felt is happening the same thing as 2 years ago, as with my mother.
 My father had an awful pessimism being sure he will not live more than 6 months after he will have the surgery, same as my mother. And this was his motto: " My wife died so I don't care if I live or no".
 I decided to make everything possible for my father so from the surgery day I started to read the akatist of Saint Nectarios promising if he will heal my father, I will publish his miracle and if I will have a baby I will put his name. In the same day I put holy oil from Aegina monastery ( where Saint Nectarios has his holy relics) .
 The surgery ended well and the doctor was happy with the evolution of the disease. But, in the same way as my mum, after he repeated the histopatology exam , because he had some carcinogen cells from the removed kidney (being necessary to remove also a part of the vesicle) , my dad was sent to the oncology hospital.
 He had to start quickly the treatment with some injections , Roferon , 3 times on week for one year and after every month he had to check how the disease is going.
 Everything was ok, the only thing was that he had to stop drinking while he was doing the treatment. (They said if he will mix the alcohol with the injections, he will get so depressed that he will feel to "to jump from the roof".) I cannot ignore this detail because I need to show how Saint Nektarios worked also in this way.
 For one month he abstained from alcohol. After he repeated the analysis something was wrong and he had to stop the injections for one week. The problem is he started again to drink. Because he could not control himself and he did not care if he will die or no, the doctor said to leave him like this and to accept him the way he is. He will stop the injections but they will monitor his disease every 3 months.
 All from my family thought he will not live too much and also the doctor told us the same. I continued to read the akatist of Saint Nectarios thinking that what God wants, that will happen.
 The first 6 months were the hardest, my dad thought he will die same like my mother. After that was easier. This year we make 2 years since the surgery. We go for analysis every 6 months and from the next year one time on year. Everybody is surprised how well the things have developed and that my father is still alive. But I know what is the reason : Saint Nectarios helped him not only to cure the cancer but also in other problems involving the alcohol.  And he had lots, I can say...some of them really bad.
 Saint Nektarios is really cancer healing . I have the proof my dad healing. I still read his akatist, I have the fear if I stop it maybe something bad will happen.
 Only who had an experience like this, he can understand the miracle of the healing.

Saint Ephraim did not allow my hand to be cut out

My name is Roxana, I am 17 years old and I live in Bucharest. I want to start by thanking Saint Ephraim for the help he give me. Everything started last year, in December, when I had pain in my hand. After many investigations, I found out I have cancer. I started the treatment and it followed the surgery. The doctors told me they will have to amputate my hand. I scared and I started to pray to Saint Ephraim and before to start the surgery I felt smell of myrrh. I knew then the Saint is with me and he will not allow my hand to be cut out.
 When I wake up from anaesthesia and I saw my hand is still there , i started to cry. This is only one of the many miracles the Saint has made for me. Now I'm waiting for a solution so I can move my wrist. I trust in the Saint that he will help me also with this

Throat cancer healed by Saint Nectarios

 The miracle i'm going to tell has happened in a little city in Maramures, named Tautii Magheraus. It was in spring 2006, when my neighbour Oancea Nicolae after a not treated flu , remained with a sore throat that did not pass away.

 After many investigations and analysis at the hospital in Baia Mare, the diagnosis was clear: throat cancer, more exactly tumor in the gullet area.

 I knew since then ( i wasn't yet a priest) about Saint Nectarios, i read a lot about his life and i went to mister Nicu (the way i call him) with a little prayer book of Saint Nectarios and i told him to read it daily.

 Mister Nicu called me to him in the winter of that year, we could only communicate  through signs or he used to write on the paper his questions because he couldn't use his voice. I must confess that he was rotten and he smelled terrible.

 I used to stay with him in he night  to speak about the wonderful things made by God and by His saints. I gave him the red book with the life and the miracles of Saint Nectarios and after some days he asked me to call the priest, Ovidiu Iuga to confess to him and to take the holy communion. The priest told him to read every day the prayer of Saint Nectarios, the prayer of Jesus Christ and the prayer of Virgin Mary.

 All the winter mister Nicu constantly prayed to him and he told me all his hope was to God. I want to add that this man used to confess and to take the holy communion every month and in the spring of 2006 he called me to ask to bring him an icon with Saint Nectarios that i hardly found and then, every day he started to drink holy water mixed with few drops of holy oil from the extreme unction.

 Extremely weak and sitting all day in bed,having perfusions and cytostatics, with the book of prayer in his hand, he had a hard surgery , under the Adam's apple he had a cannula so he could breath but without hopes of recover. Despite this, he continued to make his prayers and after the surgery the miracle took place.

 Step by step he started to walk, to have power and the putrefaction smell dissapeared. In the beggining of 2007 he made the last cytostatics and  at the last investigation the doctor asked him what type of treatment he did, then he called his assistant to take him some photos to send them to Bucharest. Mister Nicu was scared, he thought he will soon die but the doctor told him he doesn't know exactly what happened but, medically he is recovered.

 Truly amazing is God with His saints.



I left my native city and i am now a priest but i keep in my soul the miracle made by Saint Nectarios. Since then, he protects me and since 7 december 2007 he became the second patron of the church where i serve.

 In the day i became priest, i went to my native city and mister Nicu was healthy as he is also today, he hugged me and i asked him if he still reads the prayer of Saint Nectarios; he showed me the book that he had at his chest and he said: " Saint Nectarios is the protector of my life and i will be thankful to him until i will go in the grave for the miracle he did with me and there (the life after this life) i will thank him face to face ".

I almost fainted of pain

 I received from my confessor an icon, in fact it's a picture of saint Nectarios when he was performing the Liturgy, the icon was brought from Greece and was touched on his head. He told me  to pray to his icon when i have problems and to touch myself on it and it will help me.... and so was it.

 When i went to the dentist i had no pain there, but in the evening i started to have an unimaginable pain, I even didn't know it exist such hard pains and believe me i know what is like the teeth pain because i only have my front teeth, all the others have been removed. I didn't know what to do, i was almost fainting, no tranquillizer helped.

 Then i remembered the words of my confessor , i took the icon being ashamed of my sins and i touched the place with it and i prayed to Saint Nectarios to help me.. After less than 5 minutes, i had no more pain, for the praise of the Holy Trinity and Saint Nectarios.

 Go to Radu Voda monastery and bring at least a bread and you will be helped by Saint Nectarios and Saint Nicolas whose holy relics are there.

 This is only one miracle made by Saint Nectarios to me..God have mercy on us !

I had a big and mobile nodule

My name is Cristina, i'm 30 years old and i'm from Bucharest. I want to tell you the miracle happened to me, I do it not to praise myself (because i'm a sinner and i don't deserve such miracles) but for the glory of God and His saints.

 Right after the Easter, i started to have a strong and violent pain at my left breast. I thought it will go away but the pain did not stop. I touched it and i felt something hard but i thought it's just in my mind and  maybe it's because i'm always thinking about it.

 In may my sister- in- law had to give birth and when we went to the doctor ,  she asked me how do i feel after the laparoscopy. I told her about the pain i have since 2 months . She told me to remove my clothes to consult me..and SHOCK...She said i have a nodule..she called her collegue who makes breast ecography so i can do one. But the doctor was in holiday so i had to wait her until she comes back.

 I went home a little bit worried  (my mum had fibroma surgery and her sister breast surgery). Despite all this, I also had a peaceful mood. I said "May the Lord decide". I prayed to Saint Nectarios and to Saint Paraskevi and i tried to calm down. On 26 may when my sister- in- law gave birth , her mum and her husband decided to go to Radu Voda monastery to thank Saint Nectarios for the successful birth.

 When i arrived there, I prayed to him to help me so I don't have something complicated at my breast. The second day, on 27 may , on the John the Russian day , I went to the little church of the hospital Polizu and i offered my prayer to his holy relics thanking him for my sister- in- law birth and i asked help for my problem.

 I received from the candles seller a little bottle with oil from his holy relics. I read his prayer and i anointed the nodule area with oil. The next days i had terrible pain. I even couldn't sleep at night. But i continued to anoint myself. In time, the pain diminished.

 On 15 july I went with Loredana   (my sister- in- law) to the doctor. She asked me how do i feel and i told her about the big pain i had and that now i feel ok. She started to consult me...and..thank God and to His saints... There was nothing anymore. The doctor was amazed. She said i had a big nodule, mobile that was moving and was very clear. I told her it's the mercy of God and the work of saint Nectarios and of John the Russian.

 I'm convinced they helped me a lot and also the doctor prayers who is an amazing person, with a strong faith and who helps her patients medically and also through prayer.

Praise to God and to His saints !

The doctor said it's a miracle

 I want to show my confession of faith and infinite gratitude for the help i have received from our dear saint who is always ready to help us.

 The saint helped me for 2 times until now.

 5 years ago, a suspect nodule changed my peaceful life. By that time, God had blessed me with a good health, until then i haven't been sick so the suspicion of cancer made me to lose my inner balance.

 But, as Father Galeriu said: "Nothing is a coincidence, but everything is from God". I found out about the Saint Nectarios from a friend, exactly on 9 november, on the saint day. I immediately went to the Radu Voda monastery to offer a prayer to his holy relics. I went home more peaceful and with the feeling that everything will be fine.

 After the surgery, the doctor told me i have a malign tumor and for this reason he removed me all the under the arm ganglions. After this, i had to wait for 3 weeks for the final result. Despite the doctor pessimism and the hard recover , my soul was enough peaceful. I knew this was the power of  Mother of God and of Saint Nectarios.

 The final result came after 3 weeks: benign tumor. Since then, I thank every day to Saint Nectarios.

 Last year my mum had a mole surgery. The result of the biopsy was shocking for me: malign melanoma, Breslow 3- Clark 4, that means an advanced skin cancer. Thank God with no metastasis.

 Then i started to pray with all my faith to Saint Nectarios and the Mother of Christ; every night i readhis prayer and every friday when is the holy unction at the Radu Voda Monastery  , i pray to Virgin Mary and at the holy relics of Saint Nectarios to pray for us to our Lord Jesus Christ, for the health of my mother. We did not tell her the truth because she is old; she only keeps a healthier diet and she takes vitamins.

 The results after 6 months after the surgery- included the tumor markers - were perfect. The doctor himself said this fact is a miracle. Since then have passed 9 months and my mother has the same strength of work  and she feels good as before.

 With so much joy i wait to go in pilgrimage in the Eghina island to offer a prayer and to bring immense thankfulness to our beloved Saint Nectarios and to tell him how much thankful i am for his help.

 All of you who have problems direct your thoughts to the Mother of Christ and Saint Nectarios..you will not remain without an answer.

You have nothing, you don't have cancer anymore

My name is Viorica and i'm from Constanta (Romania). I want to confess the help i have received from Saint Nectarios and John the Russian.

  It happened in 2009 when i went to Bucharest for analysis to the Victor Babes hospital, because i did not feel well.
 After i received the analysis, the doctor told me "You have to remove your bile". I also had problems with my stomach and also at my chest. When she cosulted me and pressed that area, I felt pain and she also felt something while touching. She sent me to make an ecography for my chest and a mammography. After these controls the doctor says: "I'm sorry, but you have cancer". I didn't know what to say. I said: " Maybe it's a mistake". She said:" No, it's not,look !". She showed me but i could not see anything anymore. I stood in the hospital for half a day. She made me another mammography which is so painful...and the same result " We are sorry, we have to operate you".

 When i heard this i went out of the cabinet crying and i told my husband who was waiting me outside :" I have to make a breast surgery"...we both started to cry.

 I went home to my sister who lives in Bucharest and i told her everything about the surgery i have to do but she said: "Don't worry, pray to God and everything will be fine". The second day i went with my husband at John the Russian  church (the church Polizu), we prayed at his holy relics, we kneeled and i prayed with tears because i was desperate to help me, the sinner and to make a miracle also with me.

 I used to go to John the Russian every time i was in Bucharest. I was praying also to become pregnant. When i arrived at my sister, her husband kin came to her and she told me to go to Saint Nectarios , at Radu-Voda monastery and she gave me an icon with the saint and also myrrh (holy oil).

 I went to Saint Nectarios and i prayed with tears to make a miracle for me, as he did with so many people. I anointed myself with myrrh and i read his prayer. I could not separate myself from his book of miracles. I also read the prayer of Saint John the Russian, i prayed in my own way to all the saints and to Virgin Mary.

 After 2 weeks i came back to Bucharest. I went to the doctor with all the analysis. In all this time i did not stop to pray at the saints and i also anointed myself on the place i had pain. Here they made me a new mammography, they looked at the analysis made before and the doctor tells me: "You have nothing, you don't have cancer anymore !". They look again to the analysis and say: "No, You don't have..."

 This was only the miracle of saint Nectarios and Saint John the Russian. I was speechless, i went out of the cabinet and i started to cry because it happened also with me a miracle, God and His saints had mercy also for me , the sinner. I had the biggest joy... I thank him for everything and i promised i will confess also to others the miracle.

 Now, i have in the house, on the wall the icon of Saint Nectarios and John the Russian, they are our protectors and i thank them for everything they did for me.
